Snorting Dragon Snapper Requirements: any bow (his armour is too high either way), at least 200 arrows (in case you miss, and you DON'T want your arrows tu run out); IMPORTANT: DO NOT TALK TO GAAN.
- There is an Innos statue near the small lake. Practise jumping on it.
- Attack Snorter with a fire arrow from far away, let him chase you - run up and jump on the statue.
- Grab a bow and shoot him.
- Be careful, as you move backwards few milimeters with every shot. Remember to correct your position every 8-10 arrows. You cannot fall down as it is death.
- Dragon Snapper can jump onto the statue, but try to block his way there and shoot him relentlessly.
Bandits on the bridge You can lure out single bandits from the group by attacking them with a fire arrow within a certain distance. At the other side of the bridge take out your fire arrow and target the nearest bandit, do not attack from the farthest you can shoot. Walk two or three steps forwards, shoot him, and he should start chasing you (only him), if he doesn't (or the whole group starts) - reload. If it's only him - walk back couple steps, switch to your bow, and you should kill him before he gets to you. If he gets to close, strafe around him (D) and this should give you one more shot. Rinse and repeat.
Bandits behind Dragomir = Bandits in the forest where Sagitta lives Walk behind Dragomir's camp, there is a slope that leads to them. Do not take the slope, on the left you have some ledges. Jump down (but not too low) and you can target them easily. Two of them (I think) has bows, but try to peek-a-boo from behind a ledge so they come closer. Remember, the farther you are, the more advantage opponent's bowmen get (since they have higher percentage of skill meaning they hit the mark more often).
Bandits in the small cave on the left of Akil's farm Come up there, shoot down as many men you can without getting seriously injured and run away. Repeat until no one left (you can of course use melee to finish them).
Lurkers I have never used bow in the early game against them, because I couldn't find suitable high point. I suppose you can use the Innos statue near the lake (near the Valley passage) and lure them quite a bit. They tank 24 arrows in the beginning (with dex 30 and bow 35), so I didn't really want to spend all that. They are very predictable when it comes to melee combat, though it's tricky in the beginning.
Black Goblins To kill a Black Goblin with 1 shot you need 45 dex and a Hunter's bow. Just stand and shoot the group, even if it surrounds you. When there is an armored goblin warriors among them, try to eliminate him with a spell since it has 75 protection from arrows and melee.
Field Raiders There are many groups of field raiders throughout the game. The ones in a small ravine left of the Akil's farm can be picked with a bow from a ledge, if I remember correctly. There are also some Field Raiders in the valley on the right of the Northern Gate. You can stick to the wall, go right, jump down one ledge, and shoot the bastards.
Otherwise, just separate one from the group and kill it with melee. The best opportunity, as it is with many beasts (not snappers though) is to strike when it charges at you.
Wargs in the valley right of the Northern Gate If you go right after you come out of the Northern Gate you will encounter a small valley. There is a ledge on the left which leads near wargs' lair. Lure them and shoot them down. Requires 60 arrows each. Though they have only 75 prot from arrows, so a better bow (Elm Bow) is recommended. Sometimes they can get behind you, so save the game after each kill.
